This fixture was hastily rearranged on Friday when Dergview's ground was declared unplayable and it was switched to Tillysburn Park.

The County Tyrone men started very impressively and their passing and running off the ball was just too much for the home side to contend with. Missing flu victim Cahoon and the suspended McMurray and Brown, they welcomed back Ryan Harvey after a lengthy injury lay off.

The Welders were second to the ball and even when they had it their passing was poor to say the least, time after time they gave the ball away. It becane apparent early on that this was a game we would be chasing all afternoon with Dergview pulling the strings and never really getting out of second gear. The first goal arrived in the twentieth minute when their left winger took the ball round Dougherty and planted it firmly in the back of the net. This signalled a series of attacks on the Welders goal and indeed only for Armstrong's timely intervention in clearing off his line they would have increased their lead. This was becoming a "men against boys contest" with the Welders showing no attacking ideas and indeed it would be difficult to recall a single shot being saved by the visiting keeper.

On the resumption Dergview continued their attractive style of play, keeping possession and always looking dangereous going forward. The inevitable second goal looked to have arrived in the sixty first minute only for the assistant referee to flag for offside. But it only delayed the inevitable for a short period as the ever dangerous Campbell pulled the home defence all over the place before giving it to his strike partner to score. The Welders were completely bereft of any attacking ideas and the only shot of note as the game neared its conclusion was a tame shot from Gallacher which caused the Degview keeper no problem at all.

Jamie Marks was sent off in the seventy seventh minute for a second yellow card, another sending off this season to add to our already unacceptable list of offences. Discipline (or indeed lack of it) is a serious problem at the moment. Not only is it bad for morale, it affects the continuity in the team when you constantly have to make changes due to suspensions.

A very disappointing display from the home team and indeed it does not bode well for the remaining nine league games as we strive to hold onto our Division one status. With one exception all of the remaining games are against teams higher up the league than ourselves. So it is going to be a difficult battle for us all.
